Volley

Basic Stance Practice

  • Maintain a ready position, feet shoulder-width apart
  • Keep the racket in front of your body, elbows slightly bent
  • Practice quick, small steps

Wall Practice

  • Stand about 1-2 meters from a wall
  • Gently hit the ball towards the wall, then volley the rebounding ball
  • Gradually increase power and speed

Partner Practice

  • One person at the net, one at the baseline
  • Baseline player lightly tosses balls, net player practices volleys
  • Gradually increase difficulty by varying ball speed and direction

Volley Footwork Practice

  • Practice small, quick steps forward and to the sides
  • Combine with volley motion to improve volleying while moving
